Mrs. Ching-Bush is James College's wonderful RHD. Her efforts to enhance the college community are great and her commitment is inspiring. She is a nice, caring person, and wants to let the college know that if anybody ever wants to chat, or introduce themself, to just stop bye while she's in her office.

What is your background? High school? College?
HS=James I O'Neil High School in Highland Falls NY.
College = Rockland Community College = Associates in Lib Arts
Adelphi University Bachelors of Science and Masters of Social Work
What led you to become an RHD?
I enjoyed working with the age group and wanted a break from the emotional ties of social work. Being an RHD allowed me to use my social work skills, my recreational interests, my teaching background, and allowed me to work in a diverse environment.
What is the RHD's role in building the James College community?
To give guidance, promote, community, adjudicate problematic issues, minor counseling, address maintenance issues, supervise staff, promote any initiative the building department is implementing and assist with the individuals in the building in growing for their journey outside the college environment and much, much more.
What are your future goals for James College and professionally?
James College changes year to year, semester to semester. Depending on the dynamics of the population and what the building wants to do will determine the buildings activities. I hope James remains a great community service provider, an outlet for great students leaders, and a community where people are respectful to one another.
What kinds of things do you do when not busy with RHD duties? Hobbies?
I like watching and participating in sports. Working out when capable, and writing (haven't been so inspired recently.)
What can you tell us about the child you're expecting in January?
My daughter was born on January 11th at 1:54 pm. Elleana Leigh Bush was 4 pounds 5 ounces , 17 inches with black hair and brown eyes. She is the first child for myself and my husband. She is Puerto Rican, Chinese, Polish, Irish, and German - a very interesting combination. It will be fun to see how she develops and grows in a college community. I would also like to thank all the great residents to helped me throughout my pregnancy- you know who you all are!! :) I never had to lift anything or bend down for anything EVER!!
